The Bay of Fundy is an important feeding ground for many species of whales, dolphins and porpoises. The most commonly encountered cetaceans include harbour porpoises, minke whales, finback whales, humpback whales and the endangered North Atlantic right whale. Other visitors to the bay include sei whales, Atlantic white-sided dolphins, white-beaked dolphins, pilot whales, and occasionally killer whales. During the last two summers sperm whales have been sighted.
